Job Summary: The Everett Yard Office Administrator and Scale House Attendant serves as the primary point of contact for the yard office while providing essential administrative support to key managers and multiple departments. This role requires the ability to exercise independent judgment in planning, prioritizing, and organizing a diverse workload.

Under the direct supervision of the Trucking Manager, this position primarily supports the Trucking Manager and Equipment Manager through administrative functions, while also providing ongoing and project-based assistance to Payroll, Accounting, and Human Resources.
 
Essential Responsibilities
 
  • Open and close the scale house daily
  • Answer phones, direct calls, assist customers, and receive deliveries
  • Process daily ticketing; taking orders, collecting payment, and coordinating with yard staff
  • Perform daily cash handling and reconciliation
  • Weigh and scale trucks accurately
  • Coordinate daily trucking operations by communicating with drivers, dispatch, and yard personnel to ensure efficient deliveries
  • Support retail sales, including assisting with pricing and processing customer orders
  • Monitor and communicate yard inventory needs with operations, dispatch, and loader operators
  • Provide backup support to other scale house locations as needed (remote from Everett yard)
  • Maintain a clean and organized yard office and work environment
  • Assist with timekeeping and accounting duties as needed
  • Provide general administrative support to the Trucking Manager and Equipment Manager
  • Provide ongoing and project-based administrative support to Payroll, Accounting, and Human Resources

Job Requirements

Education and Experience: 
The following requirements are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities needed for this position:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines
  • Strong and professional communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with the public
  • Experience in heavy trucking, hauling, or related operations preferred
  • Familiarity with yard materials and operations preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel);

Compensation Range: 
The salary range includes the minimum, midpoint, and maximum base salary values. A candidate's offer can vary depending on differentiating factors, including but not limited to education, training, or experience.
  • $25.00 - $28.00 per hour, non-exempt - DOE
